Account Review/Payment Options


The City of Roswell's water customer online self-pay and recurring payment system has changed. The previous system is no longer available. It has been replaced by a new system designed to be easier for customers to use. 

To access the new system, you may continue using the same bill pay links on the City website or click here. All customers will need to set up a new account on the new system. For more information or assistance, please call the Utility Billing Office at (575) 624-6711.

Payment Options


Pay Online

Pay your monthly city utility bill online. This service allows you to access your account at your convenience any day during most hours (with some exceptions for system maintenance). 

Customers will need to either submit a one-time payment or create a login account by entering their account number and answering a few questions. 

Although payments are reflected on the system almost immediately, transactions will not post to your utility account until funds are transferred from the credit card company or financial institution. Please allow 2-3 business days for online payments to apply to your account.

Pay by Mail

Use the return envelope included with your bill and enclose the return portion of your statement to send payment by mail. If using your own envelope, mail to the City of Roswell, P.O. Box 1838, Roswell, NM 88202-1838. Checks should be made payable to the City of Roswell. Do not pay with cash when paying by mail.

Pay in Person

The Water Billing Department is available for any and all customer service needs. Customers may made payments by cash or check. Credit card payments can also be made in person using Visa and MasterCard debit or credit cards. There is no charge for paying with a credit or debit card but the customer must provide state-issued identification that corresponds with the card. Simply bring both portions of your bill with you to the Water Billing Department to expedite processing.

Pay by Dropping Off

An after hours drive-up drop box is located in the parking lot across the street from the water billing department, 421 N. Richardson Avenue. Please be sure to pay by check made payable to the City of Roswell. Do not pay with cash when depositing payments in the drive-up drop box. Payments received after 8 am, Monday- Friday, will post the following business day. 

Pay using Bill Pay 

Pay through your financial institution by utilizing their "Bill Pay" option. Set the City of Roswell up as a payee through your financial institution and your institution will schedule the payment for your utility bill.
