The Roswell Recreation and Aquatic Center was opened in 2019. The facility offers a variety or indoor, outdoor and aquatic activities. There are two swimming pools, two outdoor water slides, and the indoor pool is heated. Inside there are two full court basketball gym, a workout area, multiple rooms for various recreation activities.

Roswell is also home to New Mexico Military Institute a prestigious high school and junior college and Eastern New Mexico University- Roswell the top nursing program in the state.

Roswell boasts two state-of-the-art healthcare facilities: Eastern New Mexico Medical Center (ENMMC) and Lovelace Regional Hospital (LRH). Both hospitals feature inpatient and outpatient care. Roswell is also home to several primary care and pediatric care facilities. Eastern New Mexico Medical Group covers 11 specialties including gastroenterology, allergies, skin conditions and cardiology.
