My name is Carlos Marrujo Jr, I am 58 years old. I grew up in Roswell, New Mexico, I attended Edgewood Elementary, Mesa middle school and I graduated from Goddard High School in 1983. I am currently employed at ENMU-Roswell and a member at Church on the Move where I serve at the 180 Youth Group.
I am looking forward to serving my community.
I have a great love for the youth of Roswell and dedicated a great amount of time to them. I coached and was the president of Eastside Little League from 1986-1999, Youth football from 1995-2019, youth wrestling 1990 –2022, youth girls’ softball 1999 -2005, youth basketball at the Boys and Girls Club 1987 – 1989, High school wrestling 1990 -2006, and high school softball 2004-2023.
I have been married to Valarie (De Los Santos) Marrujo for 38 years. We have two children, my son Carlos Marrujo III who is married to Amber Marrujo and they have a daughter Avangeline. Carlos is employed at NMMI as the associate director of TOLES Learning Center. Amber is a counselor at Roswell High School. My daughter Rebecca, is a PE teacher at Missouri Elementary School and is the Head softball coach at Roswell High School. In 2013 my wife and I took in my brother’s kids: Aurora, Amarante (Bubba), and Angel. Aurora is in her final year at Texas Tech University, Amarante is a Junior at Roswell High, and Angel is an 8th grader at Mt. View Middle School.
