Biography

Public Service

Elected March 2022 as Roswell City Councilor, Ward 4. Chairman of the Finance Committee and member of the Legal Committee.

Elected November 2012 to and served until December 2020 as Chaves County Commissioner, District 4. Chairman of the Chaves County Commission January 2017, 2018 and 2019. Completed terms because of term limitations. Served on the Budget and Jail Committees.

Elected November 1994, retired December 2009 - Magistrate Judge, Chaves County, Division II, Roswell, NM.
Duties, Responsibilities, and Jurisdiction: Civil actions in which the dept or sum claimed does not exceed ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) exclusive of interest and costs. Criminal actions include disposition of complaints, summons and warrants. Arraignments and preliminary hearings are also part of the courts work. Magistrates also perform marriages and the administration of oaths.
