Board Information

The Occupancy Tax Board is a five-member volunteer advisory board that is comprised of:

  • Two members who are owners or operators of lodging facilities in Roswell.
  • Two members who are owners or operators of a business in Roswell that primarily provides services or products to tourists
  • One Roswell resident, who represents the general public.

The OTB makes recommendations to the Finance Committee on Lodgers' Tax Funding Requests received by the city. Requests are submitted by event organizers seeking lodgers' tax dollars to defray the cost of marketing expenses to attract out-of-town visitors.
