Fixed-Route and Dial-a-Ride Services

Roswell Transit's services are accessible to persons with disabilities. Buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps that enable persons in wheelchairs or persons who cannot navigate steps to ride the bus. Buses have priority seating for persons with disabilities. Operators are trained to assist riders use lifts and ramps, secure wheelchairs, provide information on destinations served, and announce stops, including any stop you request. Passengers must allow the driver to secure their wheelchair or scooter using the installed restraint system.

ADA Paratransit Service

Roswell Transit provides ADA complementary paratransit service for persons whose disability prevents them using the fixed-route service. The service operates the same days and hours within ¾ of a mile of fixed routes. As with Roswell Transit's other services, passengers must allow the driver to secure their wheelchair or scooter using the  installed restraint system.  Click here to view and print the ADA paratransit guidelines.  Click here to download and print the application form. Other Accessibility Policies

You may travel with your respirator, concentrator, and/or portable oxygen.  Service animals are welcome on board buses and vans and in the terminal. Service animals must be kept under the control of the passenger at all times. Public information is available in alternative formats upon request. Reasonable Modification Policy

Passengers with disabilities may request modifications to current service procedures to access the service. To make a request, please call Roswell Transit at 575-624-6766 or email Transit Director Becky Hicks at b.hicks@roswell-nm.gov.  Please submit requests at least the day before the trip. Roswell Transit will not charge additional fees for passengers requiring reasonable modifications.
