Sports Classes

Sign up for the following classes at Roswell Connect.

These classes are not leagues, but ways for kids to learn sports, stay active and find out what sports they like. Prices are per session.

Soccer

Sessions: Dec. 5-Jan. 9, Jan. 16-Feb. 20, Feb. 27-April 3
Classes held: Mondays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m. (5-6 years, 7-8 years)
Cost:  $32
Learn the basics of soccer while working on coordination, balance and motor skill development.

Introduction to Hip-Hop Dance

Sessions: Dec. 5-Jan. 9, Jan. 16-Feb. 20, Feb. 27-April 3
Classes held:  Mondays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m. (5-6 years, 7-8 years)
Cost:  $32
Dance the afternoon away. This class is for those with two left feet, the best dance moves or anywhere in between. 

Sewing

Sessions: Dec. 5-Jan. 9, Jan. 16-Feb. 20, Feb. 27-April 3
Classes held:  Mondays, 4 p.m.-5:15 p.m. (13-17 years), 5:30 p.m.-6:45 p.m. (18+)
Cost:  $32
Stitch the night away and make some fun masterpieces. This will include a small dot and a doll or your own creation. Participants will need to bring their own machines, thread, needles and blanket stuffing. Doll material, stuffing, rotary cutting tools and mats will be provided. A supply list will be provided on the first day. Hand sewing can be done in place of machine sewing. 

T-Ball

Sessions: Dec. 6-Jan. 10, Jan. 17-Feb. 21, Feb. 28-April 4
Classes held: Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m (5-6 years, 7-8 years)
Cost:  $32
Let your child be the next heavy hitter in our T-ball class. This class teaches the foundations for baseball and softball. 

Skateboarding

Sessions: Dec. 6-Jan. 10, Jan. 17-Feb. 21, Feb. 28-April 4
Classes held: Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m (5-6 years, 7-8 years)
Cost:  $32
Your little ones have mastered walking. Now get them ready to master skateboarding. They will learn the basics of skating, turning and stopping. The importance of safety gear will be taught throughout. 

Homeschool P.E.

Sessions: Dec. 7-Jan. 11, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, March 1-April 5
Classes held: Wednesdays, 10 a.m.-11 a.m.
Cost:  $32
Get up, get out and get moving with our Homeschool P.E. program. This six-week course for kindergarten through eighth grade helps homeschool children socialize and interact while engaging in movement activities. 

Basketball

Sessions: Dec. 7-Jan. 11, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, March 1-April 5
Classes held: Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m. (5-6 years, 7-8 years)

Bring your child in to shoot some hoops and learn the tips, tricks and fancy footwork of basketball. 

Disc Golf

Sessions: Dec. 7-Jan. 11, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, March 1-April 5
Classes held: Wednesdays, 4 p.m.-5 p.m. (Ages 8-17), 5 p.m.-6 p.m. (18+)
Cost:  $32
Come learn the principles of disc golf so you can master flying discs of your own. This class is more than just throwing a disc. 

Cheerleading

Sessions: Dec. 7-Jan. 11, Jan. 18-Feb. 22, March 1-April 5
Classes held: Wednesdays, 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m. (5-6 years, 7-8 years)
Cost:  $32
This introductory class is on its way to being No. 1! Goddard High cheerleaders will teach children how to cheer, dance and work as a team. 

Volleyball

Sessions: Dec. 1-Jan. 5, Jan. 12-Feb. 16, Feb. 23-March 30
Classes held: Thursdays, 3:30 p.m.-4 p.m. (3-4 years), 4:15 p.m.-5 p.m. (5-6 years, 7-8 years)

Serve it, hit it, watch it fly over the next. This class, taught by a former Roswell High and travel volleyball player, encourages teamwork as it teaches the skills and thrills of volleyball.
