July 9: Galactic Organic
Life on Earth comes in all shapes and sizes, so what would it look like outside our solar system? Inspired by the work of New Mexico artist, Lea Anderson, join us in creating a large collage of biomorphic delight during July’s Second Saturday for display in the student gallery through September.

August 13: Dog Days of Summer
We are Sirius-ly dog crazy here at the museum. Celebrating the work of Roy de Forest, we will be drawing man’s best friend! There might be some special guests popping by for a little stick throwing action

September 10: Word Art
Looking at examples of contemporary artists who use text as part of their art, we see that words have power, handwriting has personality. What is the purpose of words? What kind of power do words have? What role do words play in your life? How can words be used to make art? Stencils, stamps and stickers will be on hand for this project.

Second Saturdays are generously supported by the RMAC Foundation.
