Read Together... While Apart
We are looking for 50 teams of a child and adult duo ready to participate in this pilot program. We know this program will encourage reading and conversations around books.
About the Project:
For this project we will have the parents select the family member they would like to partner with their child. Library staff will mail the same book to both the child and the adult to read. The team will then “meet” via phone, computer or iPad to re-read all or part of the book and discuss the book. After the discussion the team will complete an evaluation. When the evaluation is complete library staff will mail out the next book. This project is sponsored by the Roswell Library Foundation.
How to Participate:
To participate in this program possible participants need to complete the application and return it back to the Roswell Public Library. The Read Together... While Apart Application is available online to download or can be picked up at the library. The library is open to the public from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. If you would like to pick up an application outside of those hours please call the library ahead of time so that staff can bring the application out. Once completed the application can be mailed back or dropped off through the book drop-off.
