Read Together... While Apart

The Roswell Public Library introduced Read Together... While Apart in 2020 as a public service during the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The library has found this program encourages reading and conversations around books and has decided to keep it in place so young readers and far away relatives can connect through reading.

About the Project:

Parents select a family member to partner with their child. Library staff will mail the same book to both the child and the adult. The team will “meet” via phone, computer or mobile device to re-read all or part of the book and discuss the book. After the discussion the team will complete an evaluation. When the evaluation is complete library staff will mail out the next book. This project is sponsored by the Roswell Library Foundation.

How to Participate:

Applications are available at the Roswell Public Library or online. Please complete the application and return it to the Roswell Public Library. The application can be mailed back or dropped off through the book drop-off.
