NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN ROSWELL

 

Roswell Mall: The owners still has outparcels for sale, as well as rental space inside the Mall.

Out Parcels for Sam’s & Wal-Mart: The developer is working with different prospects for the development of the Lot south of Sam’s Club.

New Burger King: Nothing new to report.

Mar-Y-Sol: They remodeled the Old Sonic into a small Mexican restaurant located at 1209 E. 2nd Street.

New Medical Office Building III: The building was completed in mid May and tenants have begun to move into the building.

Tractor Supply Company: Construction has been completed. Doors are now open.

Pioneer Bank-Headquarters: Building and site construction continues with the projected opening date in mid summer.

Roswell Community Federal Credit Union: The building pads have been built and the removal of the abandoned rock house, Oasis Computer, should begin in June. Opening date is scheduled for the fall on this year.

Candlewood Suites by I.H.G.: Construction continues to progress at a rapid pace with the opening date scheduled for July 1, 2009.

Comfort Suites Hotel: Tragedy struck the hotel early this month when a fire destroyed the construction site. However, with a new blessing, construction may once again begin on the 68 suite hotel in June with a target opening date in late fall of this year.

Marriott Towneplace Suites: The construction date has been moved to July. This will be an extended stay hotel with 71 suites located east of North Walgreens.

Holiday Inn -Full Service: The feasibility study is complete with a final determination to construct the hotel, restaurant and bar in June. Construction could begin as early as July.

Country Inn & Suites: They have withdrawn their plans at this time.

Circle-K Store: The company reorganized and has since moved its headquarters to the Mid West. The company has agreed to one new store and has chosen a possible site. Site development plans are in the works. More news to come.

All Saints Catholic School: Construction continues with a target opening dated of August.

Valley Christian Academy: They have begun remodeling the two recently acquired properties and plan on opening by August.

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS: 8 new building permits for houses were issued in May bringing the total to 42 new home building permits for the year.
