"Keeper Talks" presented by the Spring River Park & Zoo

Saturday, November 17, 2018

Zookeepers will discuss with the public a specific animal each month.

Roswell, N.M. — A new monthly program offers people the chance to learn about Spring River Park and Zoo’s animals from those who take care of them every day.
The program is called “Keeper Talks” and is set to begin Saturday, Nov. 17. One Saturday each month, zookeepers will give a talk about a specific animal at the zoo. The free presentations will be given four times on the given Saturday, at 10 a.m., 10:35 a.m., 11:10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. Following this month’s Nov. 17 debut of the program, Keeper Talks will be held on the second Saturday of each month, beginning in December.
November’s Keeper Talk subject is the lemur. The talk will be presented in the lemurs’ enclosure. Zookeepers will discuss habits of the animal, a history of how the animal came to Spring River Park and Zoo and other interesting facts. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions.
